Yes, beautiful California. Two nights ago i was peacefully reading my Rayuela in my private room when the whole thing started shaking. 4.4 tremor. The big one is coming. I hope it happens while i'm here, so i can send first-hand reports to the third world. And then i'm sure i'll die from poison oak. the thing is all over the place. california is a bad place, i tell you. Go east, young man.
life is sweet at palomarin field station. i saw a pigeon guillemot yesterday. and there's quail all over the place, OMG they're so cute! i'm going on a bird walk tomorrow. but what i really have to do is figure out a way to actually go to san francisco. i HAVE to go do the matthew barney exhibition at SFMOMA. i hope the t-shirts are nice. maybe vaseline-colored.... yum.
